What would happen if we broke with hypocrisy and inconsistency?

Many of you may not know that I recently finished my Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a Rotary World Peace Fellow. Back in May when the other Peace Fellows and I were planning our graduation ceremony, the others asked if I would sing. I, of course, felt honored and accepted the proposal. As the time drew closer to our graduation on June 11, 2009, I knew that just singing would not be enough; I wanted to write a song that represented the issues on peace, justice, and sustainable development that all of us had been studying and analyzing over the last year and half.

The result was my writing “¿Qué pasaría? which means “What would happen?” It’s a song about asking ourselves what would happen if we broke with the hypocrisy and inconsistencies of the world and what would happen if we opened up a true space for grace and humanity and what would happen if we demanded that life were undeniable? In short, this beautiful (what can I say…I am really happy with it) song seeks to push everyone to ask themselves this and then take action.

En fin…St. Casalaspro and I performed “¿Qué pasaría?” for my graduation ceremony on June 11, 2009.

By the way, this is one of the songs on our upcoming album “Living” due out in late 2010!!!!
